“Very Berry Coconutty” made with Adult Strawberry Milk

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!  I hope your day has gotten off to a great start and you’re feelin’ THE LOVE!  :)  It is with great sadness that I present the last of our Valentine’s cocktails from our Facebook fans!  (If you haven’t liked us yet, please click the link and leave us a comment, we would love to hear from you!)   I have had so much fun with this contest.  We have so many wonderful supporters and so many creative people out there that help keep things fresh and interesting.  Trust me, I need all the help I can get coming up with new ideas!  :)

Today’s recipe comes to us from a personal friend of mine, Angela Gargiulo.  She has been a fantastic friend and a willing “guinea pig” as I force her to try all sorts of random concoctions and new flavor concepts.  She has been a trooper and I thank her for participating in our contest.  Now, let it be said, that I am not a coconut fan– it is more of a texture thing for me than a taste thing for me.  So, I DO NOT garnish with coconut flakes, as pictured!  But, I absolutely love the flavor and smell of coconut, so I am still very much a fan of this drink.  It has a fruity and summery taste to it that makes you long for some suntan lotion and a lounge chair!  :)

Dip rim of martini glass in simple syrup and then into shredded coconut

Drizzle glass with strawberry purée

In shaker with ice mix:

3 parts Adult Strawberry Milk

1 part Coconut Vodka (we used Ciroc Coconut, but you can use whatever you like)

Shake over ice.  Strain into prepared martini glass.  Voila!

Thank you so much for participating in our Valentine’s contest.  I guess I better start working on St. Patty’s Day, it will be here before we know it!  :)
